Ukraine defending its independence

“Our land will never be torn away,” Turchynov said Tuesday “The Ukrainian people and the entire civilized world will never recognize the annexation of Ukrainian land.” This statement shows that even with some supporters of Russia within Ukrainians, it's not going to be so easy to just annex somebody's country. It's time for Federal Republic of Russia to realize it's not 19th century anymore. There's no more place for nationalism like in 19th century anymore. Ukraine already stated, they're not going to watch Putin stealing Ukrainian land. Russia's argument to right to annex Crimea just isn't enough - Russia might rule this peninsula for almost 150 years, but Poland used to be Protector country of Khanat of Crimea, which means that pretty much Poland has as much right to Crimea as Russia. Also Crimean Wars of 19th century shows that Turkey could ask for Crimea as well. Here's map of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 16th century.
